Barry has been a full-time, professional REALTOR® since 1985 and a licensed Broker since 1989. He utilizes different marketing techniques to maximize the exposure of his listings to insure the quickest sale for the best possible price. Barry is co-owner of Realty World - Viking Realty, a family business started in 1971 by his father Roger Ripp.  Barry also manages residential rental property.

Personal Information

Barry is a native of Fremont who has lived in the area all of his life. As such, he brings to each of his transactions a unique and in-depth understanding of the East Bay and its neighborhoods.

He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Management from Ohlone College. In addition, he has taken extensive training above and beyond that required of real estate licensees. Ranging in subjects from bank-owned properties and corporate relocation to management and advanced real estate, Barry's continuing education focuses on in-depth service to his clients.

Barry started learning about real estate at a very young age from his father, who is also a REALTOR® and who opened his office in 1971. Together with his brother, they are now the owners of Realty World-Viking Realty - a true family business.

When not serving his clients, Barry enjoys volunteering, snow skiing, traveling, and many other sports...he has even tried sky diving once. 

Memberships

Barry has been a member in good standing in the Bay East Association of Realtors since 1985. With that, he has access to homes for sale all over the Bay Area. He believes that it important to be familiar with more than just his home town. He has gained much knowledge and experience of entire Bay Area over the years.

He was also a proud member of the local Junior Chamber of Commerce. The F.U.N. JAYCEES. It serves the Fremont, Union City & Newark area. He has served many positions and has helped in many capacities. He has even served as the local Chapter President. It is a volunteer organization that helps the community in many ways.

Barry believes strongly about giving back to his community, and is very excited about his continuing work with them.
